I’m sure many of you look forward to spending more time outdoors in the summertime or jetting off to a hot country on holiday. One of the downsides of the warmer weather though is the fact that more insects are present which means you are more prone to bites and stings. Lemongrass from the Cybopogon family has been used for thousands of years to repel insects and mosquitoes. Lemongrass has received attention for its effectiveness as a mosquito repellent. It prevents bites from bugs by blocking the scent that attracts them and causing the insect to become disorientated without killing it. This helps to prevent the nuisance of swarms of insects becoming attracted to you and your skin and greatly reduces the chances of you suffering from a bite or a sting.
