British Heart Foundation 3 Day Diet

The popular British Heart Foundation 3 Day Diet has been around for many years as it claims upto 10lbs can be lost in 3 days.Very low calorific diet, 3 days on 4 days off then eat normally. Why this diet is popular is because people can relate to the plan as they are eating normal food such as hot dogs, bread, eggs, crackers and having treats such as ice cream. The weight loss diet plan is designed to loose weight quick if the person does not cheat thus helping boost self esteem and hopefully encourage them to continue with a healthy lifestyle eating regime.

Day One

    Breakfast

  • Black coffee,tea or herbal tea
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1 slice of bread (wholemeal better option)with peanut butter 1 teaspoon
  • Lunch

  • 1/2 a cup of tine in spring water or brine (110g)
  • Slice of bread (wholemeal better option)

  • Dinner

  • 3 oz (85g) any lean meat (white meat for better results)

  • 1 cup (128g) carrots
  • 1 cup (110g) green beans

Day Two

Breakfast

  • 1 egg pouched or boiled
  • 1 slice of bread (wholemeal better option)
  • 1 banana
  • Lunch

  • Dinner

  • 2 hotdogs no bread or sauce
  • 1 cup (71g) broccoli or cabbage
  • 1/2 cup (64g) carrots
  • 1/2 cup (68g) vanilla ice cream
  • 1 banana

  • Day Three

    Breakfast

    5 plain tuc crackers with 1 oz (28g) cheedar cheese
  • 1 apple

    Lunch

  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 1 slice of (wholemeal toast)

  • Dinner

  • 1 cup tuns (226g)
  • 1 cup (100g) cauliflower
  • 1 cup (128g) carrots
  • 1 cup (160g) melon
  • 1/2 cup (68g) of vanilla ice cream

  • * Sweeteners or xylitol should be used instead of sugar
  • * Vegetables are allowed (frozen,fresh or tinned)
